Pipeline Technician Lead

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate field gathering and pipeline systems
  • Perform pipeline locates and monitor contractor work
  • Assist with pigging operations and document procedures
  • Manage inventory at assigned sites
  • Maintain pipeline balances and estimate volumes
  • Monitor pipeline conditions and take corrective actions
  • Document data from EFM devices
  • Prepare and train on field operating procedures
  • Perform minor and major repairs on compression and related equipment
  • Start and stop station equipment
  • Execute dehydration operations and maintenance
  • Test for O2 and H2S levels in gas streams
  • Work with PSM functions and activities

Minimum Essential Qualifications

  • At least 2+ years of related work experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to callouts
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varying climate conditions and close quarters
  • Compliance with PPE guidelines
  • Regular and reliable attendance

Prior to Employment

  • Associate degree in pipeline technology or equivalent experience
  • Experience with one calls in New Mexico and Texas
  • Pipeline hot tap certification
  • H2S certification
  • Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) certification
  • Knowledge of various process instrumentation
