Primary Responsibilities
- Involves with client relationships with specific focus on relaying HDR’s pump station and pipeline credentials.
- Directs and coordinates work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out).
- Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects.
- Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently.
- Establishes and maintains client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
- Conducts work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders.
- Covers staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensures completion of deliverables on schedule.
- Tracks financial aspects of projects, and coordinates and adjusts work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule.
- Implements QA/QC procedures.
- Occasional travel, including overnight stay to complete site visits and meetings with clients.
- Attends conferences as needed and represents HDR as the subject matter expert.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- PMP certification
- Experience and client relationships in North Texas preferred
- 10+ years design experience working on large, complex water and wastewater pumping stations and pipelines
- Large diameter pipeline and pump station experience
- PE License in the State of Texas preferred. If PE License is in another state, the expectation is to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7 years related experience
- A minimum 2 years project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
- Demonstrated leadership skills
