Pipeline Design Coordinator

This position is a full-time remote role located anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities

This role oversees and coordinates the work of employees performing drafting and design tasks. A typical day may include:

• Conferring with Project Managers to coordinate departmental activities with corporate needs
• Suggesting ways to enhance production processes, equipment performance, and product quality
• Recommending changes to processes to improve working conditions, process flow, and equipment use for increased efficiency
• Estimating staff-hour requirements for projects to meet deadlines
• Studying production schedules and modifying work procedures to meet them, utilizing knowledge of CAD machines and software capacities
• Initiating or suggesting plans to motivate staff to achieve work goals
• Recommending or initiating personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures
• Interviewing potential new hires and training new workers
• Maintaining time and production records
• Estimating revenue and cost of current and future projects

Requirements

• 10 to 15 years of experience in the pipeline industry
• 0 to 5 years of experience managing designers/drafters, handling HR issues, budgets, and utilization
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Experience with alignment sheets, HDD, and working with survey data
• Strong communication skills
