Job Responsibilities
- Remote starting/stopping pumps/compressors and operating valves.
- Making sure product moves through multiple lines and facilities safely.
- Maintaining watch over storage fields.
- Analyzing changes and alerts, making necessary adjustments.
- Determining precise times of pipeline events like deliveries, nominations, batches, etc.
- Quickly identifying unusual operations and using judgment to respond.
- Maintaining pipeline safety and coordinating with field staff for maintenance.
- Communicating with field personnel, scheduling groups, customers, and suppliers to enhance efficiency, safety, quality, and customer service.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 college credit hours with oil and gas field operations/plant experience or relevant military experience as an oil and gas or air traffic controller.
- At least 2-3 years of chemical/oil/gas industry experience.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Completion of all pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal and employment background checks, DOT drug screen, etc.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, especially with co-workers, customers, and the public.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work long shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in learning and understanding WhiteWater's asset-specific procedures and processes.
- Capable of evacuating the control center in emergencies and reporting to a designated alternate control center.
