Vortex Services, LLC delivers cutting-edge trenchless technologies and turnkey services to improve water, sewer, and industrial infrastructure. As a Pipelayer/Laborer, you’ll work in a fast-paced, safety-first culture with a supportive team structure that offers training and development.

Responsibilities

• Grade and level trench bases to place pipe in
• Lay, align, and position sections of pipe
• Make connections to sewer, water, and storm sewer lines
• Check slopes for compliance with requirements
• Dig and set pipe by hand

Skills

• Determine grade of trenching using tools including lasers and transit levels
• Operate cutting equipment to cut various types of piping materials
• Operate small powered equipment including tampers
• Cut, fit, and seal various types of piping

Requirements

• Experience as a Pipelayer
• Valid driver license
• Ability to travel during the week based on operational demands
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift and move 50 lbs
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background screening consistent with company standards

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but can include shift work, weekends, evenings, and holidays—flexibility is required as job duties demand.

Pay

Salary range: $23.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, job-related skills, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
