Pay: Up to $28/hour (DOE) | Per Diem: $120/day for qualified travelers | Duration: 6+ months

About the role

Kodiak Labor Solutions is hiring Pipefitter Helpers for a commercial data center construction project in Richmond, Virginia. Local and traveling candidates are encouraged to apply, with immediate openings available.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reading and interpreting piping isometric drawings and fabrication blueprints
• Help fit and assemble carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems under Journeyman direction
• Measure, lay out, and align piping components to specification
• Assist in assembling pre-fabricated pipe spools while maintaining proper dimensions and fit up
• Help verify all assemblies are plumb, level, and square
• Learn to maintain proper weld gaps and prepare assemblies for welding
• Assist with installing and aligning flanges, elbows, tees, reducers, valves, and other piping components
• Support quality checks to ensure assemblies meet drawing specifications
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

Requirements

• Prior pipefitting or construction experience preferred, not required
• Willingness to learn pipe layout, measuring, and fit up under direction of a Journeyman
• Ability to safely use tape measures, levels, squares, and standard pipefitting tools
• Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled overtime
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow direction on a fast-paced jobsite

Per Diem Eligibility

Qualified travelers must maintain a permanent residence more than 60 miles from the jobsite and work the full scheduled shift each day.
