Pipefitter - Shop Fabrication

About the role

Responsibilities

• Configure pipe systems according to blueprints and plans.
• Ensure all steam, water, chemicals, or other liquids are turned off before working on the piping system.
• Cut, bend, and weld metals such as carbon and stainless steel.
• Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials from pipes as needed.
• Install piping or tubing segments securely using welding or other equipment.
• Thread, weld, and solder piping together.

Requirements

• Three years' experience as a pipefitter or pipe-fitter apprenticeship preferred.
• A high school degree or equivalent educational experience; a vocational school or trade apprenticeship is required.
• Must meet all state license requirements.
• Accurate and precise attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the drive to learn and grow.
• Ability to work as a team and solve problems.

Qualifications

• Confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
