Pipefitter - Newport, KY
What You Will Do
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and P&ID’s
- Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains process and utility piping systems
- Inspects work site to determine presence of obstructions and determine proper pipe path clearance
- Cuts pipe using saws, pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine
- Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs to process and production equipment
- Performs planned maintenance, inspection and installation on process and production equipment
- Follows job site safety and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area
- Identifies safety hazards and protects self and others
What You Will Bring
- Ability to keep work ahead of welders
- OSHA 10/30 Certified
- Using facing tools, Fischer saws, and other process related tools
- General knowledge of piping layout and routing
- Knowledge of general piping systems
- Combination fitter/welder is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Candidates must have transportation and good communication skills
- Willing to work within a 50-mile radius
- Willingness to travel to other states for work
- Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions
