About the role
The Pipefitter plays a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of various piping systems. This position reports to the Foreman and is not responsible for the oversight of other teammates. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position.
Responsibilities
- Bolt up and alignment of flanged piping systems
- Installation of gaskets
- LAYOUT OF VARIOUS PIPING SYSTEMS
- Bevel and grove ductile iron and steel pipe
- Welding of process piping systems
- Cutting and fabrication of spool pieces
- Sweating/soldering piping (non-potable water)
- Threading/cutting pipe
- Glue and assemble plastic piping
- Cut/fuse and assemble PVDF piping
- Beveling, cutting, fitting associated with piping prior to welding
- Installation of small diameter tubing for instrumentation and controls
- Installation of prefabricated or pre-manufactured pipe supports including anchors for same
Requirements
This role requires a Massachusetts' Unrestricted Pipefitters License**.
Qualifications
- High School or Vocational and or relevant work experience
- Minimum of 1-3+ years of experience within the construction industry
- MA pipefitters license(s)

Pay
Pay range: $40 - $54/hr.
Travel
Travel is primarily local, and limited to Northeast jobsite locations, during the business day, with occasional out of state and overnight travel. Less than 20% travel expected.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Safely maneuver around the nearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles
- On an active construction site
- Able to climb temporary or permanent stairs, and ladders
- Able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, balance, and stoop, reach on a regular basis
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
