Responsibilities
- Install and Maintain: Construct, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and codes.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems.
- Material Preparation: Select appropriate materials, such as pipes, fittings, and fixtures, and ensure their proper preparation and assembly.
- Welding and Cutting: Perform welding, brazing, soldering, and cutting tasks to connect pipes and related components.
- Inspection and Testing: Conduct tests and inspections to ensure systems meet safety and quality standards.
- Repair and Troubleshooting: Identify and repair malfunctions in pipelines, such as leaks or blockages, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Adherence to Safety Standards: Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and procedures, especially when working in outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter, with a focus on outdoor work.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of various piping materials, tools, and techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Welding and cutting skills.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
