Pipefitter

About the role

Domtar, Menominee Operations is seeking a Maintenance Pipefitter to join their team. The position is an 8-hour day shift from Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all mill piping and valving in a safe and timely manner to ensure plant run ability.
• Cutting, threading, welding and installation of pipe.
• Replacing and repairing valves.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Four (4) years of experience in a related field and three (3) to five (5) years in an industrial environment.
• A journeyman’s certification is preferred, but equivalent experience without certifications will be considered.

Qualifications

• Self-directed individual with excellent trouble shooting/problem solving skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of the team.
• Willingness to participate in off-hours support, including call-ins, overtime, etc.

Skills

• Knowledge of pipefitting techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls.
