Pipe Welder
General Purpose & Scope of Position
The Pipe Welder performs precision welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy, and other industrial piping systems while meeting strict quality standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities

Weld pipe using GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), FCAW, and GMAW processes as required.

Perform root, fill, and cap welds on industrial piping.

Read and interpret isometric drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.

Prepare pipe joints by beveling, fitting, cleaning, and aligning materials.

Inspect weld joints for quality and compliance with specifications.

Perform weld repairs as necessary.

Follow established welding procedures (WPS) and quality control requirements.

Work closely with Pipe Fitters to ensure proper fit-up and installation.

Maintain welding equipment and tools.

Follow all OSHA and company safety requirements.

Travel to project sites as needed.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Successfully pass PIC's in-house 6G Pipe Weld Test.
- Experience welding industrial piping systems.
- Ability to read welding symbols and fabrication drawings.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certification.
- AWB Certification.
- ASME Section IX qualifications.
- Experience with stainless steel and alloy pipe welding.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Pay
Competitive wages, per diem, travel pay, and project completion per diem for qualifying projects.
