Position Summary

North American Construction Services, Ltd. is hiring a permanent, full-time Pipefitter to join their team in Seymour, IN. About the Role

At NACS, you will be responsible for:

• Welding and Joining: Weld, braze, solder, and cement joints to connect pipes and related components.
• Pipe Installation: Install, align, and secure pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
• Layout and Measurement: Accurately measure, cut, and thread pipes using various cutting tools and machinery. Interpret blueprints and layout plans to determine pipe configurations, ensuring proper alignment and fitting.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform maintenance and repair work on existing piping systems. Replace or repair damaged sections of piping as necessary.

Responsibilities

Your role will involve:

• Fusing pipes securely, maintaining structural integrity and leak-free connections.
• Aligning and securing pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to blueprints and building codes.
• Interpreting and executing drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate measurements and alignments.
• Using mathematical skills to calculate pipe joint sizes, take-outs, and fitments.
• Performing maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems, replacing or repairing damaged sections as needed.
• Testing systems and equipment after completion to ensure proper circulation, flow, pressure, and leak-free joints.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should:

• Have a valid 6G welding certification.
• Be able to interpret and execute drawings and blueprints.
• Have strong mathematical skills to measure and cut pipes accurately.
• Have experience with welding techniques and tools.
• Be able to perform maintenance and repair work on existing piping systems.
• Have the ability to test systems and equipment after completing work.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in pipefitting or a related field.
• Knowledge of welding techniques and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layout plans.
