Pipe Layer

Key Duties

• Lay pipe for storm or sanitary sewer, drains, and water mains
• Configure pipe routes
• Align pipes in pipeline sections
• Set laser at the proper grade for task at hand
• Affix pipes to ensure proper grade
• Assist heavy equipment operator in proper depth for the pipe being installed
• Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned properly to prevent leaks
• Affix pipes and chalk them properly after installation
• Affix pipes and ensure they are backfilled correctly
• Affix pipes and ensure the trench has all necessary safety equipment per OSHA regulations
• Be flexible with schedule, location, and time of shift changes

Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs

Preferred

• 2+ years' experience as a pipe layer
