Job Responsibilities
Lay storm drainage, sanitary sewer mains and water mains
Assist with setting grade and driving grade stakes
Use pipe laser/level
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in grading operations/utilities & pipe preferred
- Experienced working with GPS control preferred
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary
- Team player
- Valid driver’s license
Additional
- Distinguish and understand signals
- Read and understand grade stakes
- Use both hands and feet at the same time
- Work in an environment with noise levels that may require hearing protection
- Able to hear and understand commands from supervisors, warnings from fellow workers, and alarms on equipment
- Able to use mechanic’s hand tools and tape measure
- Able to crawl and climb on, over, under and inside construction equipment
- Lift and carry objects and materials of various weights up to 100 pounds
- Good vision, both close-up and long-distance, and ability to look forward, side to side, and toward the rear of equipment
- Must have good reliable transportation to make it to and from work
- Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
- Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration requirement
- Must be Drug Free and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and possess a Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
