Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of pipefitting, tools, procedures, and best practices
• Lead multiple foremen and crews
• Assign job tasks to each foreman and ensure proper training
• Model safety behavior for the team
• Enforce OPD and client-specific safety policies and procedures
• Anticipate and report potential safety and environmental concerns
• Communicate with OPD Superintendent regarding material requirements and scheduling NDE for pipe and vessel welding
• Plan and schedule pipe installation sequences
• Verify material availability and design compliance
• Order spools and material from laydown yard
• Coordinate with other area general foremen
• Write and submit required RFI’s
• Communicate with Quality Control (QC) on weld changes and NDE requirements

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a general foreman
• Previous experience in gas plant construction environments
• Experience leading teams of 40-50 people
• Role model for safety
• Willingness to travel for extended periods, often away from home in remote areas
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Ability to attend and lead employee safety meetings
• Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
• Physical demands include working in outdoor weather conditions, lifting up to 60 lbs, standing for up to 11 hours per day, and performing manual labor
