About the Role
As a Pipe Layer Foreman at Nox Group, you will lead and coordinate crews in the installation of PVC duct banks for MV and telecom systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate installation including bends, sweeps, and tie-ins.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews installing PVC conduit and duct banks.
- Interpret plans, profiles, conduit layouts, and duct bank details.
- Plan daily work, manpower, and equipment needs.
- Oversee installation of conduits, spacers, bends, sweeps, and encasement prep.
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and grade of duct banks.
- Coordinate trenching, bedding, conduit installation, and concrete encasement.
- Ensure proper handling and installation of PVC materials.
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with project specs and tolerances.
- Maintain production schedules while enforcing safety and OSHA requirements.
- Coordinate with Superintendents, inspectors, and other trades.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of utility/duct bank experience with a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of PVC conduit systems for MV and telecom.
- Experience with bends, sweeps, spacers, and duct bank layout.
- Ability to read plans and manage crews effectively.
- Strong leadership, communication, and safety skills.
- OSHA30 card is required (training provided at no cost if needed).
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Physical Requirements
This is a safety-sensitive position with inherent physical responsibilities. To safely and successfully perform job duties, you must be able to:
- Potentially lift up to 50 pounds.
- Perform repeated pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching (or working above shoulder), walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing.
- Potentially operate a motor vehicle, crane, tractor, or similar equipment.
