Responsibilities

• Supervise the layout, assembly, and installation of various sizes and types of mechanical piping and/or sheet‑metal duct systems at job‑site locations.
• Support the Superintendent to complete the project on time, safely, and on (or under) budget.
• Test mechanical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
• Observe, report, and correct unsafe work environments.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.

Qualifications

• 5 years of commercial sheet‑metal or mechanical piping experience.
• 1 + year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with the Superintendent and follow direction.
• Reliability: show up on time, ready to work, and in uniform.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug test.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands

• Occasional sitting; frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing.
• Constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to talk and hear.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lb (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting up to 25 lb; material handling may involve lifting from floor level to overhead, occasional lifts up to 115 lb, frequent lifts up to 50 lb.

Work Environment

• Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise levels, and various atmospheric conditions.
• Potential exposure to electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet or humid conditions, vibration, and proximity to moving mechanical parts.
• Work at high‑exposure locations.
