Pipe Fitting Foreman

About the Role

Plan and execute all work required by project documents while maintaining adherence to schedule, budget, and safety requirements. Coordinate manpower and equipment delivery needs, and build positive relationships with customers and business associates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Flex & Stretch with all crew members
• Plan each day’s tasks and supply all necessary tools and equipment
• Work with Field Operations and Project Manager (PM) in selecting manpower for the project
• Resolve field and shop issues as they arise
• Schedule shop and warehouse deliveries as needed
• Identify and address safety issues in each work area; complete Safety Observations as required
• Coordinate with other trades on the project
• Complete 3-week look-ahead schedules
• Conduct weekly toolbox talks with all crew members
• Develop Completion List and minimize go-back work
• Update as-built drawings
• Submit payroll time through Crew Connect daily
• Attend project coordination meetings as required
• Review and revise overall job plan and schedule delivery calendar as needed
• Review previous year’s project and safety performance; set goals for the upcoming year
• Complete all continuing education required by the collective bargaining agreement and McKenney’s

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 5 years of experience in the mechanical industry or completion of a JATC apprenticeship program with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership/foreman’s role
• OSHA 30 certification
• Ability to multitask and make key personnel decisions objectively
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong problem-solving ability
• Trustworthy, dedicated to serving project needs, and maintains a positive attitude
• Willingness to work long hours when needed
• Commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of work

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management experience
• UA 40-hour Foreman Certification
• Industry certifications (e.g., welding, brazing, med-gas)
• Willingness to travel out of town
• Professional appearance
