About the role
As a Pilot at NetJets, you are responsible for delivering a superior air transportation experience with an unmatched safety record on every flight. You serve as the face of NetJets, combining technically accurate and safe aviation with exceptional service to provide a concierge-level experience for every Owner and passenger. This role requires wearing many hats—from professional aviator to in-flight service provider—while maintaining full command of the aircraft and a professional demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the aircraft from taxi, take-off, and landing per FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, provide introductions, brief them on the flight/trip, verify itineraries, offer weather updates, deliver safety briefings, and explain any itinerary changes.
- Provide in-flight service, including handling alcohol and catering.
- Load and properly stow all baggage on the aircraft.
- Conduct flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
- Act as the final authority on the aircraft, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serve as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO until safe departure at the final destination.
- Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and complete associated paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned, depending on the position.
Requirements
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating (per FAA 61.160):
- At least 21 years of age.
- 1,500 hours total flight time or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- 250 hours fixed-wing PIC.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time).
- ATP written exam completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- Valid passport and authorization to work in the U.S. with unrestricted travel in and out of the country.
- Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Extreme flexibility to adjust to rapid changes and manage rest to remain prepared for flight duty during tours lasting up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days.
- Ability to be away from home for seven or more days and nights, staying in hotels during trips spanning different time zones and extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges and pass Transportation Security Administration background screening.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and strong ability to interact positively with passengers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
- Ability to make quick, accurate decisions with close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work around animals, including handling and care before, during, and after Owner flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Pay
Base salary range: $86,015 – $117,706.
