Pilot (First Officer) - West Region

About the role

The Pilot role at NetJets is dedicated to providing a superior air transportation experience with a continued safety record. This position requires a high level of responsibility, from operating the aircraft safely to delivering exceptional in-flight service.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of the aircraft according to FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOP's).
• Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, introduce them, brief them on the specific flight/trip, verify itineraries, and provide weather updates and safety briefings.
• Handle in-flight service including handling of alcohol and catering.
• Load and properly stow baggage as needed.
• Handle flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
• Act as the final authority on the aircraft regarding safety and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the MCC Controller.
• Complete any necessary paperwork related to maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Certifications and Licenses:

• Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification
• First Class Medical Certificate
• FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
• Valid passport
• Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction

Education and Experience

• At least 21 years of age
• 1,500 hours total flight time experience or 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate
• 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time
• 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings
• 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time)
• ATP written completed prior to start of Indoctrination Training
• Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate
• Valid State driver's license
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
• Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure
• Ability to make quick and accurate decisions while paying close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Ability to work around animals, including the handling and care prior to, during, and after Owner flights
• Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke

Pay

Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
