Pilot (First Officer) - South Region

About the role

As a Pilot at NetJets, you are responsible for delivering a superior air transportation experience with an unmatched safety record on every flight. You serve as the face of NetJets, combining technically accurate and safe aviation with exceptional service to provide a concierge-level experience for every Owner and passenger. This role requires wearing many hats—from professional aviator to in-flight service provider—while maintaining full command of the aircraft and a professional demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the aircraft from taxi, take-off, and landing per FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
• Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, brief them on the flight/trip, verify itineraries, provide weather updates, and conduct safety briefings, including any changes to the itinerary.
• Deliver in-flight service, including handling alcohol and catering.
• Load and properly stow all baggage as needed.
• Conduct flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
• Act as the final authority on the aircraft for all areas of operation, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
• Serve as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO until safe departure at the final destination.
• Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and complete associated paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned, depending on the position.

Requirements

• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating (per FAA 61.160):
• At least 21 years of age.
• 1,500 hours total flight time or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
• 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
• 250 hours fixed-wing PIC.
• 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
• 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time).
• ATP written exam completed prior to start of Indoctrination Training.
• 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
• Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
• FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
• Valid passport with authorization to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restriction.
• Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Extreme flexibility to adjust to rapid changes and manage rest to remain prepared for flight duty during tours lasting up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days.
• Ability to be away from home for seven or more days and nights, staying in hotels, while spanning different time zones and extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges and pass Transportation Security Administration background screening.
• Valid U.S. state driver’s license.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and strong ability to make a positive impression, including excellent interaction with passengers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
• Ability to make quick, accurate decisions with close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
• Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Ability to work around animals, including handling and care before, during, and after flights.
• Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
