About the role

Bristow Group is seeking VFR and IFR PICs (Pilot in Command) as well as IFR SIC (Second in Command) helicopter pilots to support the offshore oil & gas industry.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned aircraft safely and efficiently, adhering to Bristow operational standards and all applicable regulations.
  • Prioritize safety and customer service in all operations, both inside and outside the aircraft.
  • Maintain situational awareness of weather conditions, NOTAMs, sea state, and customer offshore facility status throughout the operational region.
  • Manage passenger movements, aircraft movements, briefings, and baggage loading to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Complete flight planning paperwork, preflight checks, fueling, and manifesting oversight to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records, including journey logs, personal flight and duty sheets, and aircraft technical logbook times.
  • Report all aircraft mechanical irregularities in the aircraft’s paper and electronic technical log and ensure airworthiness before, during, and after flights.
  • Facilitate professional communications with customers to represent Bristow effectively.
  • Primarily operate in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) offshore region but remain available for dispatch to other locations, including international assignments, based on business needs.
  • Stay current on all Bristow operational and safety procedures.
  • Comply with additional duties and assignments as directed by the Lead Pilot or Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Meet the minimum requirements outlined in 14 CFR 135.243.
  • Hold a 1st class medical certificate.
  • Complete the position’s screening questionnaire to determine eligibility.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Hold an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Helicopter Instrument rating.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in the offshore oil and gas environment.
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
  • 1,500 hours as PIC in helicopters.
  • 100 hours of offshore flight experience.
  • 100 hours of flight time within the preceding 12 months.
