About the Role
As an Equinox Pilates Instructor, your career becomes an empowered lifestyle focused on maximizing both your personal and client potential. Under the guidance of a dedicated Pilates manager, you’ll develop and refine your approach to programming, education, and business development, ensuring your career is as unlimited as your passion. Help us redefine the science of fitness and the art of living.
Responsibilities
- Develop a safe, professional, and comprehensive Pilates training program for each client to ensure they attain their goals and remain motivated.
- Conduct initial client complimentary assessments and goal-setting sessions to recommend tailored Pilates training programs.
- Instruct private, duet, and semi-private sessions.
- Work with the Pilates Manager to build your book of business through our member base and ensure your success.
- Complete all administrative requirements associated with client management.
- Collaborate with other club departments to ensure members have a well-rounded experience.
- Provide excellent customer service to all Equinox members and guests.
- Strive for consistent and frequent client activity to help them achieve results and goals.
- Participate in ongoing training and development.
- Maintain studio and equipment cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Test-out and completion from a Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training program or certification on all Pilates apparatus, including mat, reformer, cadillac/trapeze, wunda chair, high or combo chair, and barrels.
- A minimum of 400 hours of Pilates education completed through a Pilates certification program.
- Ability to provide a valid copy of your Pilates certification(s).
- Exceptional customer service skills.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Standing, sitting, and walking.
- Squatting, bending, and reaching.
- Pushing, pulling, and safely spotting and correcting clients during sessions.

Pay
$45–$62 per session, $19.61/hour for non-session work; ability to earn additional incentive bonuses.
