Pilates Instructor (temp)

Responsibilities

• Build safe, effective, and engaging Pilates class plans for participants at all fitness levels.
• Connect with participants to build rapport and be their accountability partner.
• Explain and demonstrate exercises in detail.
• Provide modifications and progressions for exercises.
• Explain and educate participants on safe and proper use of gym equipment.
• Check-in all participants using the Fusion software system prior to the start of every group exercise class.
• Report attendance after every class into the Group Ex Pro software system.
• Promote Campus Recreation programs and services.
• Inform participants on gym policies for safety and hygiene.
• Staff meetings as needed.
• Assist with department-wide programs, staff trainings, etc.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Pilates principles and techniques.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in fitness instruction or related field preferred.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficiency with Fusion and Group Ex Pro software systems.
