Pilates Instructor (temp)
Responsibilities
- Build safe, effective, and engaging Pilates class plans for participants at all fitness levels.
- Connect with participants to build rapport and be their accountability partner.
- Explain and demonstrate exercises in detail.
- Provide modifications and progressions for exercises.
- Explain and educate participants on safe and proper use of gym equipment.
- Check-in all participants using the Fusion software system prior to the start of every group exercise class.
- Report attendance after every class into the Group Ex Pro software system.
- Promote Campus Recreation programs and services.
- Inform participants on gym policies for safety and hygiene.
- Staff meetings as needed.
- Assist with department-wide programs, staff trainings, etc.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Pilates principles and techniques.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience in fitness instruction or related field preferred.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficiency with Fusion and Group Ex Pro software systems.
