About the role
We're currently seeking team members for morning shifts, with the greatest need for afternoon and early evening coverage. Availability on Saturdays is highly preferred. Positions are available at both our Highland Park and Morton Grove locations.
Responsibilities
- Lead group pilates classes of various levels, including mat and equipment-based sessions
- Provide individualized instruction and corrections to ensure proper form and technique
- Develop creative and engaging pilates routines to challenge and motivate clients
- Maintain a clean and organized studio space
- Uphold our studio's values of inclusivity, positivity, and respect
- Integrate with physical therapists, trainers, and other wellness professionals
- All other duties as assigned
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Certifications/Licensures: Certified Pilates Instructor with a reputable certification (e.g., STOTT Pilates, Balanced Body, Polestar Pilates, Merrithew, Power Pilates etc.), CPR/AED certified
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Pilates classes preferred
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of anatomy and biomechanics
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate varying fitness levels and injuries, Passion for promoting health and wellness through pilates
- Physical Requirements: Stand or sit for extended periods of time
