PICU Registered Nurse - Pediatric ICU

About the role

The PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse position is available at the Naval Hospital Portsmouth, VA.

Responsibilities

• Works 12-hour shifts either from 6:45a - 7:15pm or 6:45pm - 7:15am, totaling 80 hours every 2 weeks.
• Eight hours each week are paid at overtime rate.
• On-call may be required for one shift every 12 weeks.

Requirements

• Education: Nursing Degree Required
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any of the 50 U.S. States or U.S. Territories
• Experience: Minimum of 18 months PICU experience within the last 24 months

Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E certifications required prior to start date

Benefits

• OT rate for 8 hours each week
• Rotating on-call schedule every 12 weeks
