Pickleball Instructor - McFetridge Sports Center

About the role

The Pickleball Instructor at the McFetridge Sports Center is responsible for running open play sessions and drills/skills sessions. The position also involves notifying the Tennis Coordinator of any equipment repairs needed and maintaining the courts.

Responsibilities

• Instruct both group and private lessons with knowledge of the basic pickleball skills and terminology
• Utilize available pickleball equipment to maximize the development of basic pickleball strokes in small and large group lessons
• Develop and grow the Pickleball program to meet the needs of the community
• Notify Tennis Coordinator of any equipment repairs needed and maintenance of courts
• Provide a safe and fun environment that promotes enjoying the sport for exercise and fun
• Attract players and help build the program

Qualifications

• 2-5 years previous pickleball instruction experience
• The ability to teach fundamental pickleball skills to various skill levels
• Able to be flexible with hours
• Pickleball Professional Registry (PPR) certification is required
• Ability to run leagues and tournaments is preferred
