Responsibilities
- Actively engage guests through product preparation, active sampling and suggestive selling.
- Personalize guest experiences by demonstrating superior guest service at all times, including storytelling about specific products and highlighting benefits like Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal, and Local.
- Showcase knife skills to enhance the sensory and engaging experience for guests.
- Operate the Pick & Prep area according to strict merchandising and operational standards.
- Maintain high standards of product quality and sanitation.
- Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and guest service as needed to meet department standards.
- Conduct PA announcements as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality.
- Able to actively engage guests.
- Willingness to have fun with guests.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
- Physical capabilities to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and consistently lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to read and understand information and follow directions.
- Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
- Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks, including knife skills.
- Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Effective communication with and ability to take direction from supervisors.
- Proficiency in using computers and scales.
