About the role
The Piano Accompanist role is a part-time, on-site position located within the Tulsa Metropolitan Area.
Responsibilities
- Rehearse with students
- Support music educators in preparing for concerts and contests
- Sight-read and learn new repertoire
- Adapt accompaniment to varying skill levels
- Collaborate with teachers to schedule practice times
- Assist with musical preparation for auditions and special events
- Contribute to a positive, encouraging learning environment for all students
Qualifications
- Strong piano performance and accompaniment skills, including sight-reading and rehearsal techniques
- Experience working in educational settings and supporting student learning in music programs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, educators, and staff, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility
- Prior experience as a school or church accompanist is preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced musical training, degree in music, or related certification is highly beneficial
- Willingness to complete any required background checks and comply with district policies and procedures
