About the role
What if your physics knowledge could help shape the next generation of artificial intelligence? We're looking for Physics Masters graduates (or current students) to work directly with cutting-edge AI models — designing expert-level problems, evaluating reasoning, and helping AI think more like a scientist. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your academic expertise becomes the product. No AI background required — just deep, rigorous physics knowledge and a sharp analytical mind.
Responsibilities
- Design challenging, graduate-level physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more
- Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with rigorous logical reasoning
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, coherence, and quality of reasoning
- Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics topics
- Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI model performance
Who you are
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
- Strong problem-solving skills across advanced physics domains
- Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating reasoning and logic
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
- No prior AI experience required
- Nice to have: Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic assessment; Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts; Background in physics research or academic tutoring
Why join us
- Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects with leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, from anywhere
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and international collaboration
- Directly influence how the world's most advanced AI models reason through science
- Potential for ongoing contract renewals and expanded project involvement
