Physicist - Radiation Oncology

Join a dedicated Radiation Oncology team as a Certified Medical Physicist, responsible for designing, optimizing, and evaluating radiation treatment plans to ensure precise patient care and safety. Key Duties Include Providing technical guidance on treatment procedures, technology, and safety protocols.Collaborating with clinical teams to develop quality assurance programs and maintain regulatory compliance.Supporting the implementation of new technologies and process improvements to enhance patient outcomes.Overseeing calibration, quality control, and safety standards in accordance with industry regulations.Assisting in treatment planning, beam shaping, and radiotherapy equipment commissioning.Participating in departmental quality improvement initiatives and staff training.Serving as Radiation Safety Officer and developing policies in collaboration with leadership. Qualifications And Skills Master’s degree in Health or Medical Physics from an accredited institution.Certification by the American Board of Radiology, American Board of Medical Physics, or Canadian College of Medical Physics.Licensure as required, with preferred experience in operating systems, oncology information systems, programming, and image handling.Minimum two years of clinical experience, including residency, with DABR certification preferred.Strong knowledge of radiation safety, dosimetry, treatment planning, and quality improvement.Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Physical requirements: Ability to read, operate equipment, assist with patient transfers, and work in a clinical environment.
