Physicist Oncology (FT) - Seacoast (Near Myrtle Beach)

What You'll Do:

• Participate in linear accelerator quality assurance, treatment planning, brachytherapy, and consultation in accordance with AAPM standards.
• Provide technical support and skills for adopting new technology and continuously look for opportunities to improve physics and dosimetry support within the department.
• Maintain quality assurance and calibration procedures for all radiation devices according to current protocols and standards of practice.
• Ensure a high level of treatment delivery by overseeing treatment planning physics, radiation safety, and regulatory oversight.
• Communicate complex ideas effectively to facilitate cooperation with the radiation oncology team.
• Conduct weekly reviews of patient treatment records and annual quality assurance tests on equipment.
• Maintain ACR accreditation.
• Proficient in all current treatment planning techniques and complex dose computations.
