Role Overview

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate, commission, and maintain radiation oncology equipment.
  • Provide clinical support, quality assurance, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Participate in treatment planning, dosimetry, and quality assurance processes.
  • Support clinical trials and develop protocols.
  • Engage in teaching residents, students, and physicians, including curriculum development and mentoring.
  • Contribute to faculty recruitment and participate in departmental meetings.
  • Support clinical research initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in medical physics, physics, or related fields.
  • Board certified or eligible, with clinical experience in radiotherapy, brachytherapy, and treatment planning.
  • PREFERRED: Experience with CAMPEP-accredited residency programs, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently.
Additional Details Location includes multiple facilities with primary support at a designated hospital. Must participate in hospital and departmental activities, adhere to safety standards, and maintain productivity.
