Physician - Vascular/Stroke Neurology

About the role

The medical center is a Level I Trauma Center and Joint Commission Accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center. Predominately consult hospital practice with some clinic. Stroke call shared with stroke neurologists. Telestroke services to regional locations. 1000 stroke codes per year. Neurohospitalist coverage for general neurology service. Neuro ICU staffed by neuro-intensivists. Work in collaboration with colleagues in neurosurgery, neuroradiology, neuropsychology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Obtain an academic appointment at University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences with an opportunity to collaborate with basic scientists and to educate medical students and residents. Neurology Residency with 3 residents per year. Serving 1 million patients over 200,000 square miles across ND and MN. Metro area population is 240,000.

Qualifications

• BC/BE stroke neurologist.
• Academic appointment at University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
• Collaboration with colleagues in neurosurgery, neuroradiology, neuropsychology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation.
• Experience with telestroke services and neurohospitalist coverage.
• Knowledge of basic science and ability to educate medical students and residents.
• Experience with neurology residency program.
