About the Role

Join CHRISTUS St. Vincent, a mission-driven, community-focused health system serving Northern New Mexico, as we expand our Surgical Oncology program. We are seeking two Board Certified/Board Eligible Surgical Oncologists with expertise in complex oncologic surgery and/or head and neck oncology to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform a broad spectrum of surgical oncology and head & neck oncologic procedures, including:

  • Head & Neck Oncology Procedures
    • Tongue cancer resections
    • Oral cavity cancer surgery
    • Parotidectomy and salivary gland tumor surgery
    • Thyroid cancer surgery
    • Neck dissections for regional metastatic disease
  • Surgical Oncology Procedures
    • Melanoma surgery (including Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy)
    • Colorectal cancer surgery
    • Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC)
    • Adrenal tumor surgery
    • Gastric cancer surgery
    • Soft Tissue and Retroperitoneal Sarcoma surgery

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
  • Fellowship training in Surgical Oncology and/or Head & Neck Oncology preferred
  • Eligible for medical licensure in New Mexico
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered cancer care
  • Excellent communication and collaborative practice skills
