Physician - Surgery

About the role

Join a comprehensive, multidisciplinary bariatric program that collaborates with the Departments of Surgery and Family Medicine to deliver optimal obesity care. This role offers the opportunity to work within a team providing both surgical and non-surgical weight-management options while contributing to education, clinical research, and program growth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departments of Surgery and Family Medicine to deliver optimal obesity care
• Participate in a team offering surgical and non-surgical weight-management options
• Support development and maintenance of Bariatric Surgery and Obesity Medicine services
• Provide ongoing care for patients pre- and post-bariatric surgery
• Manage patients pursuing non-surgical weight therapies
• Engage in education, clinical research, and program growth initiatives
• Increase community awareness and identify opportunities for quality improvement

Qualifications & Skills

• MD or DO degree with a strong desire to work in academic medicine
• Board Certified or Eligible in Obesity Medicine (ABOM); Family Medicine certification preferred
• Arizona medical license or eligibility
• Experience managing obesity or fellowship in Obesity Medicine preferred
