About the role

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join a collaborative practice in the Woodbridge area of Northern Virginia. Based at the Potomac Building of the Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center campus, this opportunity offers the chance to practice high-quality, patient-centered oncology in a supportive and collegial environment. Our team is deeply committed to delivering comprehensive cancer care that is innovative, compassionate, and tailored to each patient’s needs, while continuing to advance oncology services throughout the region. The practice includes a dedicated group of 2 physicians who provide personalized, evidence-based care in a modern setting designed to support both patients and providers. Physicians enjoy access to the latest treatment protocols ensuring patients receive advanced care while allowing providers to remain engaged at the forefront of oncology. SNVMC has a joint venture with Inova.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• One dedicated administrative day per week
• Primarily outpatient, ambulatory clinic with minimal inpatient consults
• Shared call schedule with a collegial and supportive physician group
• Open to both new graduates and experienced physicians

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered hematology/oncology care in an outpatient setting
• Deliver personalized, evidence-based treatment using the latest protocols
• Collaborate with a supportive physician group (2 physicians total)
• Participate in shared call coverage
• Contribute to advancing oncology services throughout the region

Pay

Base pay range for full-time employment: $403,748.80 – $446,243.20 annually (based on 2,080 hours/year). Additional compensation may include shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Actual compensation varies based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Eligible for annual discretionary bonus per system criteria.
