Key Responsibilities
- Assist in arterial and venous interventional procedures, including pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure support, and post-procedure care.
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, histories, and physicals.
- Manage wound care cases, including assessment, debridement, dressing changes, and coordination of ongoing care.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging and lab results under physician supervision.
- Conduct follow-up visits, both inpatient and outpatient.
- Participate in home visits for wound care patients.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, wound care protocols, and post-procedural expectations.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification
- Active state PA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Prefer 1–2 years of clinical experience, ideally in interventional radiology, vascular surgery, or wound care, but not required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong procedural and clinical assessment abilities
