Physician - Rural Emergency Medicine with Mercy in Mountain View, MO - FM Trained Welcome
About the role
Mercy Mountain View, Missouri is seeking a rural emergency medicine and hospitalist physician. The position requires ED/Hospitalist coverage during the day and uses virtual hospitalist services at night. The hospital has an annual ED volume of 7-8k patients and an average inpatient census of 4. Transfers are easy, with ground and air options to Mercy Hospital - Springfield, an 886-bed level I trauma center and tertiary catchment hospital for a four-state area.
Responsibilities
- Full scope of inpatient care including emergency and hospitalist services
- 25-bed, critical access hospital with 134-year history in the area
- Financially strong and stable with EPIC EMR system
- Partnership with nearby medical schools for teaching (if desired)
- Rated in the top 5% nationally for overall clinical excellence by Healthgrades

Requirements
- Family medicine training preferred
- Guaranteed shifts and hours
- No partnership track/buy-in

Qualifications
- Board certified/board eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Experience in rural settings is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
