Physician - Rheumatology

About the role

Join a growing clinical faculty team in an academic rheumatology practice, providing inpatient and outpatient patient care, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and engaging in scholarly projects. Located in Tucson, the role offers access to cultural, recreational, and outdoor activities, along with a moderate cost of living and excellent educational options.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a full-time schedule with 8-10 patients per 4-hour session, up to eight sessions weekly, including administrative half days
• Provide outpatient care, including offsite Indian Health Services rotations, and inpatient consults
• Manage complex multisystem rheumatic diseases
• Teach and mentor residents and fellows
• Deliver care at main and south campus medical centers

Qualifications

• M.D./D.O. degree
• Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology
• Ability to obtain Arizona medical license
• DEA registration

• Strong clinical expertise in rheumatology
• Excellent teaching and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
