About the role
Independence Health System seeks a full-time board-certified Diagnostic Radiology physician specializing in Women’s Imaging to join their Physician Network. The position is based at the Women’s Imaging Center in Butler, PA.
Responsibilities
- Order or interpret radiography and advanced imaging results.
- Perform interventional breast procedures.
- Refer patients to medical specialists, social services, or other professionals as appropriate.
- Participate in continuing education activities to maintain license certification and enhance knowledge and skills.
- Direct, coordinate, or supervise the patient care activities of nursing or support services.
- Communicate with patients and physicians regarding imaging results.
- Attend Medical Group meetings, Leadership meetings, and Physician committees as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.
- Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) to Four (4) years’ experience in Women's Imaging.
- Certification by the American Board of Radiology, or board eligible.
- Act 33 with renewal, Act 34 with renewal, Act 73 FBI Clearance, Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program.
