About the role

The Department of Radiation Oncology at Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is recruiting a full-time Radiation Oncology Specialist. The position offers opportunities to provide expert patient care, grow the program, and develop a research program.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert patient care at one or more Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan facilities
• Grow the program to expand the scope of radiation oncologic care, increasing patient volumes
• Develop an organ specific research program
• Instruct residents and/or rotating students
• Build on the already strong infrastructure of the department
• Split time between breast cancer and another subspecialty, potentially including the director of MR Linac

Requirements

• BE/BC in Radiation Oncology
• Interest in teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows
• Unrestricted License - Michigan
• Unrestricted DEA License

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree
• Experience in various subspecialties such as CNS/Peds, lung cancer, and utilizing the newly installed MR Linac program
• Knowledgeable about the latest technologies and research programs available at Corewell Health

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other relevant software
