Responsibilities

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team of four (4) pulmonologists.
  • Manage a diverse patient population with complex pulmonary needs.
  • Build strong patient relationships and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Schedule: On-call shared amongst the providers. 4th weekend on call (Fri 5pm – Mon 8am). One to two (1-2 days) of weekday calls 5pm-8am.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving clinical practices and integrate new technologies.
  • Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of pulmonary conditions including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and sleep-related breathing disorders.
  • Interpret pulmonary function tests, chest imaging, and sleep studies.
  • Perform bronchoscopies and other pulmonary procedures (if applicable).
  • Manage inpatient consults and admissions (if hospital work is included).
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, respiratory therapists, and care coordinators.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice development.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Requirements

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited Pulmonary Medicine fellowship
  • Board Certified (ABOG) or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine (must become BC within a five (5) year timeline per Medical Staff bylaws)
  • Eligible for New Jersey Medical Licensure
  • DEA and NJ CDS registration
  • Current BLS, and ACLS certification

Pay

Minimum compensation: $300,000 annually
