Physician Psychiatry
About the role
The position is part-time, with a schedule of 1 to 3 days per week. Hybrid work options are available. The psychiatrist will be integrated into a family medicine practice and will have the opportunity to supervise nurse practitioners. A focus on women's mental health is welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with patients and their families
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and prescribe medications as needed
- Collaborate with the family medicine practice to provide comprehensive care
- Supervise nurse practitioners in the provision of mental health services
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry
- Experience working with private insurance and Medicare patients
- Experience working in an integrated family medicine practice
- Experience supervising nurse practitioners in mental health settings
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of mental health laws and regulations
