About the role

A full-time, hospital-employed inpatient position in North Carolina is available for a Psychiatrist. The position involves working with a child and adolescent patient population in an inpatient setting. The caseload includes managing 2 new patient encounters and follow-up appointments totaling 15 – 16 per day.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 2 new patient encounters and follow-up appointments totaling 15 – 16 per day
• Provide phone-only call support once every 10 weeks
• Work in an academic medical center affiliated with a residency program and may have the option for faculty appointments
• Supervise APPs and encourage board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrists to apply
• Receive H-1B visa support and require a North Carolina medical license

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrists encouraged to apply
• H-1B visa support available
• North Carolina medical license required

Qualifications

• Experience in inpatient psychiatric care
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
