Physician-Psychiatry: Adult

About the role

Seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Psychiatrist to join a research-oriented academic department within a large community hospital setting. The role offers a mix of clinical practice and academic responsibilities, including teaching, supervision, and mentoring psychiatry residents and medical students. The psychiatrist will see patients with a range of adult psychiatric diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, and mood disorders, primarily in outpatient settings, with some inpatient support.

Responsibilities

• Manage an average of 10 patients daily through in-person and telehealth visits.
• Participate in department meetings and grand rounds.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide teaching, supervision, and mentoring to psychiatry residents and medical students.
• Engage in academic and research opportunities.

Requirements

• ABPN board certification or eligibility.
• Desire to work in an academic environment.
• Experienced psychiatrists and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

• Clinical schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am–5 pm.
• Paid weekend call approximately 12 times per year (can be performed from home).
