Job Overview

Psychiatrists work 8:00a to 4:30p; one (1) hour lunch; Monday-Friday. They are Head of a multi-disciplinary treatment team of an acute or sub-acute unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Psychiatrist in an acute or sub-acute unit.
    • Roles include, but not limited to, head of a treatment team, possible supervision of a psychiatric nurse practitioner, medication management, admissions, discharges, completing progress notes on a daily basis, and involvement with various hospital committees.
  • A demonstrated working knowledge of persons with complex psychiatric and addiction issues and their families.
  • Knowledge related to use of Electronic Clinical Record (ECR) and other computer usage, as needed.
  • Proven skills in networking among a diverse group of agencies and organizations.
  • Effective communication skills, including written and public speaking, and adept at dealing with people at various levels within the organization, as well as external stakeholders and leaders.
  • Proven experience in successfully initiating and sustaining multi-agency and multi-community policy, system, and environmental change strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician Psychiatrist.
  • Four (4) Year Psychiatric Residency training from an accredited program.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in TN / or willing to obtain license to practice medicine in TN prior to hire.

Salary

$16,667.00 - $20,833.00 per month, $200,004.00 - $250,000.00 annually.

Board Certified

$18,334.00 - $22,500.00 per month, $220,008.00 - $270,000.00 annually.
