About the role
The successful candidate will join Cooper University Health Care's growing addiction medicine division. This interdisciplinary program operates within a university healthcare setting and offers a range of services including inpatient and outpatient specialty care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
Responsibilities
- Provide both inpatient and outpatient specialty care for individuals with substance use disorders.
- Participate in various programs such as hospital consultation services, detoxification/stabilization, residential programs, emergency department and hospital bridge programs, community paramedicine, field buprenorphine initiation, jail transition care, outpatient group and specialty medical visits, a low barrier walk-in clinic, a wrap-around perinatal SUD program, dual diagnosis psychiatric and addiction medical care, and integrated addiction and infectious disease care including HIV and hepatitis C treatment.
- Contribute to clinical innovation, education, and research initiatives within the division.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Engage in urban underserved care and harm reduction efforts.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry.
- Active medical license.
- Completed fellowship in addiction medicine preferred.
