Physician (Primary Care) Hyannis, MA CBOC- EDRP & Recruitment Incentive Authorized
About the role
Eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), student loan payment reimbursement program. Eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of your start date. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments; determine diagnoses & health care needs; & to construct health care plans based on effective therapeutic ability, consultation ,patient education & established practice guidelines.
- Coordinate patient care through patient management techniques within the assigned PACT & implement the same functionality in PACTs.
- Recognize emergency/acute situations & intervene in an appropriate & effective manner.
- Document patients' health care clearly, adequately & accurately as defined by medical records documentation, chronic disease & prevention indicators.
- Sign notes in a timely manner as dictated by Medial Center by-laws or the Primary Care Service Chief.
Requirements
- Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation.
- One year of specialized experience working in Primary Care or Internal Medicine in an outpatient setting.
- Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Approved residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
